Megayacht Technical Services (MTS-Yachts) and the US Maritime Institute have teamed together to provide the yachting industry with an all-inclusive, one-stop package that will streamline compliance with the requirements of the US Coast Guard and Marine Transportation Act of 2004.

What do I need?

All vessels of 400 gross tons and greater will require a documented Non-Tank Vessel Response Plan.  As part of this plan, each vessel must identify a US-based Qualified Individual, Spill Management Team, and Damage Stability Team.  In addition, the vessel must provide evidence of contracts with a recognized Oil Spill Recovery Organization (OSRO) and a Firefighting/Salvage Organization.  See more...

How does it work?

Upon entry into our program, a NTVRP manual is designed specifically for the vessel, her trading pattern, and exact tank capacities.  The necessary third-party contracts are established and a detailed training program is provided.  All of this is coordinated through the team at MTS-Yachts, who will act as your single point-of-contact for all response situations, and with a low annual membership fee.
